The twin cities of Napier and Hastings are renowned for their architecture, Mediterranean climate, variety of delicious fresh produce and vineyards. They are located on the east coast of the North Island, two hours’ drive from Taupo and five hours from Wellington.

Art Deco Masonic Hotel, Napier
This Art Deco jewel has a stunning location on the waterfront with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and opposite Hawke’s Bay’s MTG (museum), The Art Deco Centre and i-SITE.

Some rooms have French doors with direct access to the Marine Parade Balcony while others have courtyard or street views to elegant Art Deco buildings. The option of twin beds and bathtub in the bathroom is available upon request.

Pacific View Suite

Art Deco Apartment
With its own entrance hall and super spacious open plan living room this two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is the largest and a perfect retreat. Molton Brown bathroom amenities are provided in both the Master en-suite and main character bathroom with its claw foot bath and separate rain shower.
Additional features include central heating, air-conditioning, full kitchen, 2 flat screen TVs and complimentary WIFI. French doors from the living room access a large courtyard capturing all day sun.

The Crown Hotel, Napier
This boutique hotel is set in the picturesque seaside village of Ahuriri and overlooks the stunning waterfront. It is only five minutes to Napier and a short drive to the award-winning vineyards of Hawkes Bay. The hotel offers the perfect location to explore Ahuriri with waterfront walkways and cycle ways, restaurants and bars, boutique shops and amenities with a choice of contemporary or heritage studios and 1- and 2-bedroom suites.

Studio Premium Suite
These elegant suites are located on levels 2-4 with direct sea views, private balcony with outdoor furniture and come with luxury fabrics and furniture. The en-suite bathroom has a corner spa bath with separate shower and toilet and there is a dressing room area.

Studio Heritage
These classic spacious suites are located on the first floor of the Crown Heritage Building and do not have lift access. They have a lounge area with lounge chairs and unique original touches including Juliet balconies, French doors, a King bed, en-suite with corner spa bath and shower, bathrobes, LCD TV/DVD and CD player, work desk area and broadband internet connection.

One Bedroom Premium
These spacious rooms have lovely sea views. You have a separate lounge area, en-suite with shower and oblong spa bath, kitchenette, dining table and chairs and a private balcony with outdoor furniture.

Craggy Range Vineyard, Havelock North
Stay amongst the vines and gardens at Craggy Range’s Winery in these luxury self-contained Vineyard Cottages with views of Te Mata Peak and the Tukituki River valley. Only 7 minutes’ drive from Havelock North and 25 minutes from Napier, the cottages are well situated to indulge in fly fishing, wine tours or simply relaxing in the countryside. As a guest of Craggy Range Retreats you’ll enjoy a complimentary wine tasting of the Craggy Range single vineyard wines.
Garden Cottage
Located in a private garden with magnificent views of Te Mata Peak, the Garden Cottages have two-bedrooms and are stylishly appointed with en-suites, as well as their own patio and outside seating area, to each bedroom. The living space includes a kitchen and dining area, comfortable lounge with log burner then opens out onto a larger patio area.

River Lodge
Named after two of Craggy Ranges prestige wines, Aroha and Le Sol, The River Lodges overlook the stunning Tukituki River. With all the fixtures and fittings of the Craggy Range Lodge, these smaller edition properties make for a more intimate experience. Both Lodges have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, dressing area and personal patio to each of the rooms. Spacious living and dining areas, including outdoor dining facilities and a full range chef’s kitchen, as well as a private courtyard with impressive exterior fireplace and views of Te Mata Peak.

Craggy Range Lodge
New Zealand’s newest premier winery experience overlooking the Tukituki River features 4 luxurious King bedrooms, each with en-suite, spacious open-plan living and chef’s kitchen. The formal living area has views to Te Mata Peak with dining and sitting areas by an impressive open fireplace. The in-ground pool sits high above the valley with the property immaculately landscaped and set in lush green surroundings. The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, Te Awanga
Far out to the east of Hawke’s Bay wine country, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers sits atop rolling farmland and rugged cliffs that give way to vast sea views. Hilltop Family Suite
Situated on top of the hill above the Lodge overlooking the rolling farmland to the Pacific Ocean, the two Hilltop Family Suites offer parents a comfortable Master Bedroom and sitting area with private balcony, walk in closet and spacious bathroom.
The second bedroom offers twin single beds and a separate disabled access en-suite bathroom suitable for children of all ages.

Four Bedroom Owner’s Cottage
This palatial retreat sits in a magnificent, elevated position to take every advantage of its extraordinary location amid 6,000 acres of pastureland and spectacular 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean.

The large and generous living spaces have been cleverly configured so they can be enjoyed as a two-bedroom or four-bedroom cottage. Hawkes Bay Afternoon Sightseeing – A Taste of Scenic Hawkes Bay, Napier
See the highlights of Hawke’s Bay including an Art Deco Tour of Central Napier, views from Bluff Hill across the Bay to Cape Kidnappers, quaint Ahuriri village with its iconic National Tobacco Building and West Quay. You will also visit the picturesque Tukituki Valley, Arataki Honey, see the breathtaking views from Te Mata Peak, the beautiful village of Havelock North and stop at a local artisan food producer, for example a strawberry farm or olive grove. In Hastings City, see the Spanish Mission style, 140-year-old Oak Avenue and stop at a boutique chocolate factory before ending the day at New Zealand’s first winery – Mission Estate.

Gold Reserve Afternoon Wine Tour, Napier

A Twilight Odyssey, Napier
Take a scenic drive through the vineyards as you learn about the region and its wines. Enjoy a full interactive wine tasting alongside gourmet platters at one winery. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from Te Mata Peak at 399 metres above sea level, while enjoying a glass of bubbles. From here you go to Craggy Range or Elephant Hills for the main course served with wine. Finish the evening at the country’s oldest and grandest winery the Mission Estate for dessert and dessert wines.

Art Deco Guided Morning or Afternoon Walk, Napier
The most complete Art Deco tour of Napier, this extended guided walk begins at the Art Deco Centre with an audio-visual introduction from your local guide. You’ll hear the dramatic story of the 1931 earthquake and discover Art Deco: the style of the times in the 1930s. You will then depart on a one and a half hour guided walk through Napier’s Art Deco Quarter, including visits to the interiors of some of the most stunning examples of this architectural style in the city. On your return to the Art Deco Centre you will be invited into the boutique theatre for a complimentary tea or coffee and to view a short film about the world-famous Art Deco Weekend celebrations.

Gannet Safari Tour, Te Awanga
Travel in comfortable, air-conditioned 4WD vehicles, through Cape Kidnappers Station – traversing riverbeds, broad rolling pastures, stands of native bush, steep gullies and breathtaking inclines. There is a stop on the way at a spectacular cliff top for panoramic views of Hawke’s Bay right across to Mahia Peninsula. The 36km trip includes an informative commentary by your tour guide/driver on the farming operation at Cape Kidnappers Station and an introduction to the gannets. On arrival at the gannets, you will be served refreshments while you watch the gannets from the cliffs edge, 100 metres above the ocean.

Cycle Tour – Ahuriri to Cape Coast, Napier
Departing the village of Ahuriri you cycle around the port to the Napier CBD. Spend some time enjoying the unique facades of the beautiful buildings before following the Marine Parade pathway with spectacular views across the Pacific to Cape Kidnappers. Cycle on through the East Clive wetlands, home to numerous black swans, to the village of Clive, a great place for refreshments. Continuing, you arrive at Black Bridge and the mouth of the Tukituki River. Cycle through two quaint coastal communities where you can indulge in wine tastings at the fine Cape Coast wineries. At the end of the day, you will be collected and transferred back to Ahuriri or your accommodation.
