Melbourne City Package: 4 Nights
This suggested city package includes return shared airport transfers, 4 nights’ accommodation, half day city tour and Phillip Island tour. It can be booked with your choice of accommodation and adapted to suit the time you have available. Please request a quotation for your preferred dates on travel.
Day 1: Arrive Melbourne
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city.
Day 2: Half Day City Tour
Enjoy discovering the charms of elegant and contemporary Melbourne on this morning tour. Start with a leisurely drive along the streets of cosmopolitan Brunswick and Carlton. Then stroll around the Queen Victoria Markets before heading to Docklands, Melbourne’s newest precinct. Then traverse the streets and boulevards of Melbourne city passing the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne Park (home of the Australian Open Tennis) and Albert Park Grand Prix circuit. Travel through this sporting precinct stopping for morning tea at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Visit the Shrine of Remembrance before making your way down to Port Phillip Bay via the Grand Prix circuit. Drive along the esplanade and take in the seaside suburb of St Kilda before returning to the city via Melbourne’s finest boulevard, St Kilda Road.
Day 3: Penguin Parade, Koalas and Kangaroos
Enjoy a morning at leisure before departing at 1.30 pm on this afternoon/evening tour to Phillip Island. Visit Warrook Farm, a working cattle property, and enjoy the opportunity to feed kangaroos and wallabies. At Phillip Island visit the acclaimed Koala Conservation Centre and stroll along boardwalks to see koalas. View Nobbies and see Australia’s largest seal population, visit the seaside town of Cowes and the Visitors Information Centre. At dusk, enjoy the amazing natural phenomenon of the ‘little penguin parade’ from the Penguin Plus Viewing Platform and see little penguins exit the raging surf and make their way to their dune burrows. Return to your hotel at around 11.30 pm.
Day 4: At leisure in Melbourne
Today is free for you to enjoy more of this cosmopolitan city and its beautiful surrounds.
Day 5: Depart Melbourne
Today you will be transferred back to the airport for your onward flight.

Melbourne – Mornington Peninsula – Apollo Bay – Port Fairy – Grampians – Adelaide
Day 1: Melbourne to Mornington Peninsula (108km)
Take the Nepean Highway from Melbourne and drive south towards the Mornington Peninsula. From the Mornington turnoff the road follows the coastline and offers spectacular bay views.
Overnight: Mornington Peninsula
Day 2: Mornington Peninsula to Apollo Bay (145km)
Drive to Sorrento to catch the car ferry across to Queenscliff. From Geelong it is just a short drive to Torquay and the start of the Great Ocean Road. Pass through Anglesea and Lorne to Apollo Bay, watching the increasingly dramatic contrast between rugged coast and inland forest.
Overnight: Apollo Bay
Day 3: Apollo Bay to Port Fairy (185km)
Continue your drive along the Great Ocean Road through the Otway National Park and enjoy a self-guided rainforest walk. From Lavers Hill onward the road traces limestone cliffs along the Shipwreck Coast and the natural monuments of the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge form a stunning panorama. From Warrnambool it is just a short drive to Port Fairy.
Overnight: Port Fairy
Day 4: Port Fairy to the Grampians (130km)
Depart Port Fairy and head north through prime sheep grazing country to the Grampians National Park. Halls Gap is an ideal base for bushwalking and discovering native animals in their natural habitat.
Overnight: Halls Gap
Day 5: Grampians to Adelaide (527km)
From Halls Gap head north-west to Horsham and continue on to the South Australian border. Approach Adelaide via Murray Bridge and the Adelaide Hills.

Day 4: Port Fairy to Coonawarra (219km)
Depart Port Fairy and follow the Princes Highway towards Mount Gambier, the major town of South Australia’s Limestone Coast region. Make a stop to view the Blue Lake then continue through farming country to the Coonawarra wine region where limestone-based, terra rossa soils produce some bold red wines.

Day 5: Coonawarra to Robe (103km)
Make a visit to the remarkable World Heritage listed fossil site at Naracoorte Caves this morning before heading back to the coast and the historic port of Robe, once the third largest port in South Australia. Laze on Long Beach, indulge in the distinctive local wine, fresh seafood and regional produce, or discover Robe’s seafaring past, its heritage buildings and their legends.

Day 6: Robe to Adelaide (336km)
Continue to Adelaide via the Coorong National Park, a narrow lagoon that stretches 140 km beside the coastal dunes between Kingston SE and just south of the Murray River mouth. The vast wetland ecosystem consists of ocean beach, freshwater lakes, estuaries, and saline lagoon and attracts massive flocks of migratory birds.
